During the period of the Great Depression, Child Labor regulations greatly benefited due to a shift in the political and cultural spheres. The Fair Labor Standards Act of 1930 was passed, which resulted in creating a minimum wage and maximum hours of labor. Additionally, this Act created limitations in regards to Child Labor. The act prohibited any child under the age of 16 years old to be employed.
